Universal Studios Singapore

Jas and I took the little one to Universal Studios. He had to skip school for it, but fun's more important! I quite enjoyed myself, probably only cause we got the express passes which allowed us to cut the queue of all the rides. That was an extra $30 but Jas says I'm a princess and need the best of everything, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean it as a compliment, though. I'd recommend the express passes to anyone who doesn't wanna die of heat stroke , have an extra $30 to spare and don't mind people giving you dirty looks. Too bad, cheapos! You will notice in photos that I managed a clothes-change.. it wasn't for vanity sake.. we were warned by Malcolm that one of the Jurassic Park rides would make you drenched.. so we brought a change of clothes.
On to the pictures!

Far Far Away

Donkey Live - don't go for it unless you're really bored. I thought it was a waste of time! The donkey didn't even sound like Donkey..
Shrek 4D - MUST GO! It's amusing. Nothing the other Universal Studios don't already have.. I remember watching something like this in the States, just that it was Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.

Fake Fiona did a really good job cajoling Lucas into taking a photo cause he was a bit scared of Shrek. She made him give her high fives, show her his happy face.. I was very impressed! +1 brownie point to Fake Fiona!

Jurassic Park
This was Lucas' favorite place. He LOVES dinosaurs. He ran in screaming , "JIEJIE MADA!! BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG DINOSAUR!"

After L left for his nap, Jas and I took the rapids-something ride(the one which'll get you drenched). It's almost the same as the ride in the States, just that ours is a mere 3 story drop(that's like 30 ft), while the one in the States is 80-something ft.

Madagascar

The main ride for Madagascar was closed, which was such a disappointment! Cause there's nothing else to do, other than the merry-go-round and getting to meet the characters.

Ancient Egypt

Other random stuff
The Battlestar Gallactica, which was also closed, and I think will be for a period of time. Didn't matter to me, cause just looking at it scares me.

Monster Rock - MUST WATCH! I loved it! :) It's a song and dance performance by the world's most famous monsters.

on to more random photos..

All in all, our Universal Studios honestly can't compare to the others but I guess for this little red dot, it'll do just fine. I wouldn't bring anyone under the age of 4 though! It's not very toddler-friendly! I think the rides were made for slightly older kids, so there's not much for the little ones to do.

Ok,
bye!
