For the benefit of those who don't know (I'm assuming you live in another country, or in a well), this is what she posted on facebook.
The whole Amy Cheong saga has flooded my facebook/twitter newsfeed with memes and the same print-screen of her status followed by differing versions of "angry"comments. (and I use quotation marks because I honestly believe half the internet mob doesn't give two hoots about racism at all. They just want blood to be spilt. They just want a lynching. And on that note - am I the only one who thinks this wanton need for bloodshed is alarming?!)
While her comment was (and still is) derogatory, insensitive and unnecessary (in other words - wrong, just in case you were still wondering which "side" I'm taking), the comments from "angry" netizens are equally so. The comments made on her racism were , ironically, very racist!
Case in point.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
It's truly shameful that we've become a country that competes who's more "less-racist".
