LA Day 2 Part 1 - Natural History Museum

We woke real early and drove to the Natural History Museum.

It was a real nice drive actually.
We got to the museum 15minutes later, had breakfast there,
and the exploring begun..
That's a whale skeleton

At least I'm taller than a grizzly!
Mammoth

World's biggest clam
Learning about birds and their bone weights

then it was on to the DINOSAURS!
My favorite part of the museum was the dinosaur hall! omg I love dinosaurs. There was so much to learn.. the museum curators were really helpful. They were so eager to share which fossils they had put together and other very interesting facts about dinosaurs.
That's an unborn baby.. The mom got killed so it died along with it's mother and became fossilized.
A bone out of the brachiosaurus. I think it's the hip bone if I remember correctly
T-rex claw

Thomas the T-rex. The world's most complete T-rex skelton. Thomas was an almost-adult, not even full grown.
Thomas
Juvenile T-rex
2 year-old T-rex.

It was quite cool seeing the growth stages.
Look how huge Thomas is!
Pterodactyl

Stegosaurus
I'm not sure what dinosaur this is.. but it looks like a raptor to me
Triceratops

Then it was on to the natural rocks section

That's a huge piece of jade!
Tourmaline on quartz
A whole lota rock
Igneous rocks

Sedimentary rocks

Metamorphic rocks

Natural glow-in-the-dark rocks

Kunzite
Topaz
Another topaz

Diamonds!
Then we went to play in the kids zone..

Oh deer!

Ok bye for now!
