Work Life

For those who know me, you would know I've been abducted into the working world for just about 3 and a half weeks now. To me, the transition from bumming around to working life can be equated to plunging into -1000 degrees of freezing water after hours of being huddled in blankets next to a fireplace. Yes, it is that shocking and horrifying. From sleeping 12 hours a day, I'm now limited to 7 hours. Waking every morning has got to be the most painful thing yet, as Jason will testify. My morning ritual now goes as such :

7.45am : Alarm goes off.
Moan and whine,
hit snooze button.

7.50am : Alarm goes off again.
Force my tired/sleep-deprived body out of bed.
Whine till 9.30am.

Yes, 9.30am. Once I've had my breakfast, I calm down a fair bit and chill for a while until the hunger pangs kick in about 11am and I start complaining all over again.

It really sucks sometimes, being stuck in a job when you constantly read about your peers are out there traveling the world. See, I have big dreams about seeing the world. I even have a list of places I want to see before I die, accompanied by the many things I want to do in those countries so you can imagine my frustrations when useless bums, whose parents have had a lucky windfall, are living my dream, while I'm at work. I console myself with the thought that in the next 20 years, I'd be spending 3 months traveling Europe, 3 months traveling the US of A and another 6 traveling to all the other places I want to see (South Africa and Iceland included in the few.. I really like animals and I really want to see the Aurora Borealis) and that's how I manage to get through the way without banging my head against a wall repeatedly.

Although I complain a lot, work's actually ok la, I just won't willingly admit it to anyone.

BYE!
