Walking with Dinosaurs

OMG, I LOVED the show!! :)
Such a great night! I LOVE DINOSAURS
How often do you get to see dinosaurs up-close?!
We had front row seats too so they were really within arms reach.
I thought I couldn't bring a camera! cause it says so on the ticket! but I HAD to take photos so I snuck in my point and shoot! Such a bad idea. Everyone were snapping away with their DSLRs. But whatever, cause I'm awesome, the photos turned out ok. I think some better than those DSLRs. I saw someone shooting with a 50mm lens. SERIOUSLY?! Even her 18-55mm would've been better. 50mm's for close-ups/profiles, dumbass.
Like I say, owning a DSLR doesn't make you a photographer, it just makes you a DSLR-owner.
Don't know what lens to get, just don't get. Don't waste money and action like you damn pro.

My favorite - the raptors.
Cunning, smart and deceiving.
No wonder I love them.

The baby T-rex stirred trouble with two other dinosaurs and was about to get trampled on when it's mama T-rex came to it's rescue! The T-rex came so close to the audience.. and then roared!! I was quite scared actually. Not as close as the brachiosaurus though! It's long neck reached into the audience, almost touching! :)

Jason says I'm like the baby T-rex, always causing trouble then hiding behind papa. hehe.

  1. I'm curious, what makes you qualified to be so critical on what other people use and how they use it? For all you know, the pictures might have turned out better than you expected. Photography is not about following a rigid set of rules. Experimenting is one way of achieving pictures that stand out and maybe you should try it yourself if you are as awesome as you say you are.

  2. I agree with the above comment,
and I also agree with what you said :

"Like I say, owning a DSLR doesn't make you a photographer, it just makes you a DSLR-owner."

I think you're just blinded by your "awesome-ness in photography" to see that what you described is actually yourself.

  4. (With reference to your latest post, only because you disabled comments for that.)

Yes, I am VERY jealous and I feel SO SO SO inferior to your AMAZING photography skills. I mean look at your photographs, bloody brilliant aren't they.

Thanks for pointing out my inadequacy. I feel so upset I think I should just throw my Leica away and cry in a corner.

I'm glad you're taking the comments so positively, you're welcome.

My friends and I would also like to thank you as well, for providing us the entertainment and being a topic of our bitching conversations... Oh yes, I know, we don't have better things to do than talk about your sick photography skills and huge ego.

Uh huh, we're sad / pathetic like that. ;)

Oh and p/s, if you really need to read THAT many books / tutorials on photography, maybe you should consider your "talent".

  5. It's okay, anonymous above. Just give in to her, because she needs to criticize others in order to feel good about herself. That's how she functions.
