Friday's happenings

The boy took half day off again!

He came over to wake me up..

Yes, that's how I look in the morning without makeup!

UGH. I honestly don't know how that boy loves me after seeing this face.

Even I wanna kill myself in the mornings.

Dark eye rings, eye-bags, unstraightened hair.

EW!

Even I wouldn't date me if I saw me in the mornings.

Look at the difference la!

OMG, the miracles of make-up.

So anyway,

We went to Al Azhar for lunch..

It's my new favorite place for prata!

The cheese pratas there are AMAZING.

Then we headed to Lucas' place to play with the babies.

I MADE MY NEPHEW SMILE!

Isn't that just the sweetest smile in the world?

Then we took Lucas to the beach

I swear, I'm never taking kids to the beach ever again!

After dropping Lucas off at home,

the boy and I headed to Long Beach to have pepper crabs!

I swear, that place has the best pepper crabs ever!

Jason decided he wanted durian, so we went to the famous Dempsey durian stall,

just as we got there,

they ran out of durian.

So we drove down to Chun Tin,

and the stall was closed.

We drove around Bt. Panjang in hope of finding a stall but that plan failed.

We tried 3 different stalls at Balestiers, again to no avail.

We finally decided to go to Geylang (cause there's ALWAYS durian there)

The entire durian hunt took 2 hours,

cause as luck would have it,

we had to stop at EVERY traffic light.

Finally,

with a 40$ durian,

we came home.

:)

We're now proud parents of a half-eaten, but very bitter durian (those are the shiok-est la, only true durian connoisseurs would appreciate bitter durians)

Ok, so right now I'm waiting for Jason to come over so we can head out to meet my boys at Substation for a couple of drinks, and party at Gotham tonight. It's apparently some match-making party.. so I'm half-expecting ugly horny guys trying to get laid by just about any one. Wish me luck!
